Hi! My name is Saskia, the new intern at the Innovation Department. I was originally born in Emmeloord (close to Urk, which some of you probably have heard of), but now living in and enjoying Utrecht already for 6 years.

1.What has been your biggest success until now?
My biggest success so far within Oxfam Novib is me living up the rules of working ‘flex’: I am switching everyday to a different desk in our innovation room (haha).

2.What is your best memory?
I collected my best memory during the Intern Introduction Days: we had to do a treasure hunt throughout The Hague with all other interns; good way to get to know each other, and to get to know the city!
Then a bit more about myself.

3.If you could do anything you’d want right now, what would it be?
Working within Oxfam (ofcourse..). And when I had more money; travel (a lot) and live + work abroad for a couple of years.

4.As a kid, what did you want to be when you’d grow up?
When I was really young, my favorite television program was ‘Taarten van Abel’. It made me so happy when I saw these beautiful cakes created by him and a child. The purpose of this tv show was to enable kids to create a beautiful pie that they could give to someone who – according to the child – deserved it. This inspired me to bake cakes for my family every Sunday as well. Which I enjoyed a lot! So at that time, I thought to have found my calling.
