Christal comes from Indonesia and is currently pursuing Master’s Degree majoring in Economics of Development at ISS Erasmus University of The Hague. She is an intern in Fair Taxation which is very much in line with her interest in understanding the root cause and contributing towards decreasing world’s inequality. In her spare time she loves singing and playing (amateur) guitar although not particularly keen on performing it in public.
1. What has been your biggest success until now?
My biggest success is pursuing my work and further education at development studies field despite my original background of International Business and Management. It was an unlikely choice and was a surprise for my friends and family but I think I made the right decision as it is so fulfilling.
2. What is your best memory?
My best memory is anytime I am among the crowd of a music concert, the latest was when I saw Ed Sheeran in Germany. I love to enjoy good music, sing along to the lyrics and feel the energy. Such an exciting and refreshing experience!
3.If you could do anything you’d want right now, what would it be?
I would want to be traveling somewhere warm with the sun shining bright and I can wear T-shirt anywhere. Spain or Portugal would be nice.
4.As a kid, what did you want to be when you’d grow up?
I wanted to be a singer-songwriter type of artist. My best friend taught me to play guitar and some time ago we even wrote our own songs. I think it’s really cool to be able to have music as an outlet of what you feel or what you think is important to be conveyed to the world.
