In the context of our work on Youth Active Citizenship, the Oxfam Novib Academy has identified the need for a communication specialist in the area of Youth and Work as an integral part of a long-term strategy on youth empowerment. In particular, work in this area could focus on publication of results of research and learning, communication on results of projects, evaluations and publication on websites and other media within our interventions to empower young people for work.
In the context of our work on Public Engagement, Oxfam Novib is looking for a student with a strong interest in public communication. Your work in this area will be focused on producing content that engages our audiences. This internship allows applications in Dutch and in English and asks for a good command of the Dutch language.
In the context of our work on improving the opportunities for small scale producers to have a fair share of the value generated and which safeguards their human rights, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and assistance in bringing together the experiences in a variety of interventions in Oxfam in the rice value chains and working on a more coordinated and integrated programme, aiming to address economic, social, environmental and climate resilient challenges for smallholders.
In the context of our work on inequalities in agricultural value chains Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and assistance in the area of economic aspects of inequalities in agricultural value chains for smallholders, specifically related to the need for small-scale farmers to earn a “living income”.
In the context of our work on inclusion of the most discriminated and marginalized people, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for advancing the rights of LGBTQI people. To that end, Oxfam Novib conducted a survey mapping and writing track records on the work being implemented and experiences gained in the Oxfam Confederation to promote the rights of LGBTQI people, and mapping the attitudes on working for LGBTQI rights within Oxfam Country Offices and Affiliates. Oxfam Novib is now preparing a meeting to establish a Community of Practitioners working on LGBTQI rights.

In the context of our work on the Even it Up! Campaign, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and assistance in the area of Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning. Your work in this area will be focused on tax justice, inequality and budget monitoring.
In the context of our work on civic space, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and assistance in the area ‘new partnerships and innovative allies on civic space’. Your work in this area will be focused on cooperation with social movements, Southern progressive governments, and the private sector to create enabling environments for civil society and citizen’s participation.
In the context of our work on Fiscal Justice and Active Citizenship, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and assistance in the area of fiscal justice, active citizenship, knowledge generation and management. We want you to look back over 18 months and help us to analyze the impact and results of the knowledge and learning strategy on fiscal justice and active citizenship. In the first 18 months, this strategy had three prioritized areas of knowledge generation, exchange, training with 20+ country teams on: 1) fiscal justice & gender responsive budgeting, 2) fiscal justice & civic space and 3) fiscal justice & active citizenship.
In the context of our work on building and strengthening a Worldwide Influencing Network within the Strategic Partnership Program, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research, design support and assistance in the area of program specific audit, internal control and fraud prevention. Your work in this area will be focused on: strengthening internal control mechanisms, developing fraud prevention measures and assisting in internal audit activities.
In the context of our work on communication between Country Offices and Oxfam Novib’s office in The Hague, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and assistance in the area of international corporate communication. Your work in this area will be focused on strengthening the communication infrastructure between Country Offices (that do implementation of projects and programs on the ground in their countries) and the Oxfam Novib office in The Hague (which has Thematic Units available to service Country Offices and developing regional programs, next to corporate groups assisting Country Offices, such as HR, institutional fundraising and Finance and Control).
In the context of our work on Inequality and Tax Justice, Oxfam Novib is currently looking for an intern to support the Even it Up campaign in the field of communication and content production tasks. Even it Up is fighting extreme inequality and campaigning for fairer global tax rules. Google it, and you’ll get to know the campaign. In this role, you will be assisting campaigners in developing and implementing effective strategies. You’ll help develop exciting content and help organize stunts that will inspire people to support change.
In the context of our work on Youth Active Citizenship, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and assistance in the area Youth-led Action Research. Your work in this area will be focused on mapping of best practices, methodologies and tools for youth-led participatory action research, development of an action research toolkit to support youth groups, movements and activists, support in testing of the action research toolkit and support to team-based learning and research activities when relevant.
