The Oxfam Novib Academy looks for interns twice a year to start in February and September to assist teams with specific research questions. Being an Oxfam Novib Academy intern is a special opportunity, as you will be part of a group of like-minded students. 1. Support to private sector and food value chains campaigning (GROW)
In the context of our influencing work towards food companies, the Oxfam Novib GROW team has identified the need for organizational support (meeting preparations, minute taking, summaries), project execution (planning, implementation, archiving) and research (desk research, policy analysis, reporting) and support program development around corporate social responsibility (CSR) and private sector supply chains.
2. Communication internship to increase the visibility of our Female Food Heroes
In the context of our work on advocating for increased public finance (ODA) to be invested in the agricultural sector in developing countries, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and practical support in the area of increasing our reach of target-audiences with our advocacy-messages on agricultural investment and food security. In the context of our work on the GROW Campaign, the Oxfam Novib Academy, for Autumn 2017 has identified the need for research in the area of indigenous and community land rights, as a contribution to the Land Rights Now campaign. Read more.

In the context of our work on Youth as Active Citizens, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research in the area of Youth Employment. 6. Qualitative research within the Social Sciences to join the Impact Measurement and Knowledge Team
In the context of our impact measurement work the Oxfam Novib Academy has identified the need for literature review on some topics we investigate, deeper analysis of existing impact evaluation data, and for a translation of this analysis into practical knowledge products. Read more.
7. Translating Research intro practical knowledge to join the Impact Measurement and Knowledge Team
Oxfam Novib is launching impact evaluations for several high priority global programmes. The Impact Measurement and Knowledge team would like to maximize the use of this data, and ensure it is translated into practical knowledge products that aim to both improve programme implementation, increase staff learning and profile Oxfam Novib as a thought leader. In the context of our humanitarian work, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for analysis in the area of local humanitarian leadership. Local humanitarian leadership/localization is gaining momentum in the sector, ie. with commitments in the Grand Bargain and the Charter for Change. Read more.
9. Communication and Campaigning internship ‘Even it Up’ Inequality & Tax Justice Campaign
Even it Up is fighting extreme inequality and campaigning for fairer global tax rules. Google it, and you’ll get to know the campaign. In this role, you will be assisting campaigners in developing and implementing effective strategies. You’ll help develop exciting content and help organize events and stunts that will inspire people to support change. Read more.
10. Gender and Social inclusion (Gender Justice Team LGBTQI).
In the context of our work on inclusion of the most discriminated and marginalized people, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research in the area working for advancing the rights of LGBTQI1 people . Your work in this area will be focused on: (i) mapping on the one hand the work being implemented and experiences gained in the Oxfam Confederation to promote the rights of LGBTQI people, (iI) to help mapping the attitude on working for LGBTQI rights within Oxfam Novib and the Country Offices managed by Oxfam Novib, and (iii) help setting up a Community of Practitioners working on LGBTQI rights. We are currently looking for an intern to support a tax project. The project is called the called the Fair Tax Monitor and involves joint research on national tax systems in several developing countries. For a next phase of this project, you will analyze realistic opportunities for “greening” of tax systems in developing countries.
