In the context of our work on Access to Land, Water and Inclusive Value Chains (ALIVE), Oxfam Novib has identified the need for an academic contribution towards implementation of program development and capacity building initiatives with regard to inclusive and sustainable value chains and private sector influencing with Oxfam country offices and Oxfam partners in a number of (French) speaking African countries.
In the context of our work on Public Engagement, Oxfam Novib is looking for a student with a strong interest in public communication. Your work in this area will be focused on producing content that engages our audiences. This internship allows applications in Dutch and in English and asks for a good command of the Dutch language.
In the context of our work on Youth Active Citizenship, the Oxfam Novib Academy has identified the need for a communication specialist in the area of Youth and Work as an integral part of a long-term strategy on youth empowerment. In particular, work in this area could focus on publication of results of research and learning, communication on results of projects, evaluations and publication on websites and other media within our interventions to empower young people for work. The intern should also develop a strategy to show how to use the communication material for influencing and campaigning purposes.

In the context of our work on Youth as Active Citizens, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research and support on the project ‘A Quality Teacher for Every Child in Mali’ as well as on innovative transformative education models that prepare young people to become active citizens.
In the context of our work on inclusion of the most discriminated and marginalized people, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for research in the area working for advancing the rights of LGBTQI people. Your work in this area will be focused on: (i) finalizing the mapping and writing track records on the work being implemented and experiences gained in the Oxfam Confederation to promote the rights of LGBTQI people, (ii) to finalise the mapping of the attitudes on working for LGBTQI rights within Oxfam Country Offices and Affiliates, and (iii) help setting up a Community of Practitioners working on LGBTQI rights.

In the context of our work on impact evaluations of Oxfam’s projects, Oxfam Novib has identified the need for qualitative impact research. Your work in this area will be focused on the design of impact studies (including doing literature reviews & drafting conceptual frameworks), the preparation of data collection (including drafting of questionnaires), the analysis of data & the production of knowledge products (such as reports, presentations or info-graphics).
Oxfam Novib is launching impact evaluations for several high priority global programmes. The Impact Measurement and Knowledge team would like to maximize the use of this data, and ensure it is translated into practical knowledge products that aim to both improve programme implementation, increase staff learning and profile Oxfam Novib as a thought leader. The focus of this internship will be on presenting the results of impact studies in an attractive and user-friendly manner online mainly through the use of Power BI and possibly other software.
In the context of our impact measurement and knowledge work, the Oxfam Novib Academy has identified the need for deeper analysis of existing impact evaluation data, and for a translation of this analysis into practical knowledge products. Additionally, there is a need for supporting the IMK team on analyzing baseline and follow up surveys on individual level on various themes, such as youth employment, food, land and water, social norms etc.
In the context of our work on Conflict and Fragility, we have identified the need for continued research in the area of inclusive peace and security as an integral part of a long-term conflict transformation approach. In the context of our work on the Syria crisis, the global displacement crisis and EU migration policies, Oxfam Novib has also identified the need for research in the (voluntary) return of refugees to countries that are still in conflict, such as Syria, Afghanistan and Myanmar.

In this role, you will be assisting campaigners in developing and implementing effective strategies. You’ll help develop exciting content and help organize stunts that will inspire people to support change.
In this internship, your main assignment is to analyse, as far as possible, to what extent Chinese investors are paying their fair share of taxes in African and Asian countries. Next to this, you will support coordination and communications of the Fair Tax Monitor project, which includes an analysis of national tax systems in eight Asian and African countries by Oxfam country offices and local partner organizations.
In the context of our work on the GROW Campaign, the Oxfam Novib Academy has identified the need for research in the area of indigenous and community land rights, as a contribution to the Land Rights Now campaign.
